"Transparency International – Georgia, was established on May 7, 2000 as local non-governmental organization. The objective of the organization is to fight against corruption in Georgia by supporting transparency and accountability. Transparency International disseminates knowledge about the negative results of corruption, advocates for the policy reform, and works on the implementation of wide variety of conventions and monitors the implementation by the government, corporations and banks. Transparency International national bureaus serve to increase accountability and transparency on national level, monitors the performance of leading institutions in Georgia and advocates for the necessary reforms for elimination of corruption. The main principle of the organization is not to support any political force.
Legal aid center lawyers of the Transparency International – Georgia provide citizens of Georgia with free legal aid ensure preparation of different documents and in case of necessity represents their interest at the courts. The legal aid is provided on the property rights and labor rights for public servants. The legal aid service is provided in region, as well as in Tbilisi offices by e-mail or hot line.
